Brent oil price steady on last trading day of year Russia approves Pacific oil pipeline Russia orders oil pipeline to Pacific Rosneft takes over key unit of Yukos Oil prices steady at close of record-breaking year Cable 1

Caspian Climate now at its most dynamic - The Caspian Region has estimated reserves of 200bln barrels of oil and 640 trl cubic ft of gas, at least 15% of the world's resources, greater reserves than within both the United States and the North Sea.

Massive investment and commitment by global exploration and production companies has meant the expansion of the service industry and the announcement of substantial tenders for highly diverse contracts, services, equipment, materials, training and personnel - dramatically increasing opportunities for contracting, sub contracting and supply companies.

The Annual Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference is the leading oil and gas industry forum for the Caspian Region - HE The President of the Azerbaijan Republic traditionally opens and tours the event alongside International Visiting Energy Ministers and senior government and industry officials. This event is a 'must-do' for all those companies keen to develop business within the oil and gas sector, increase their market share and forge important trade links throughout the Region. Over 338 exhibiting companies from 28 countries and 10,000 trade visitors

  • representing 54 countries attended in 2004, reflecting the increasing
  • importance of this Region to the Global energy community. Numbers of
  • visitors pre-registering to attend at www.caspianoilgas.co.uk increased by
  • nearly 40% with over 70% of registered delegates either at management or
  • senior management level. A dramatic rise in the numbers of contracting,
  • supply and maintenance companies both as visitors and especially as
  • exhibitors was also witnessed this year.
